Digital Learning Centre of Competence-based Excellence: Our Experts

Oamk personnel are extremely competent and strive for continuous development to create successful solutions in our education, research, development, innovation (RDI), and artistic activities in cooperation with businesses and industries. One in five of staff members also has a postgraduate degree and doctoral training. Oamkhas a growing number of peer-reviewed or otherwise highly regarded publications. We seek to engage our networks also in terms of high impact development and research.The Oamk School of Professional Teacher Education has the longest experience of applying competence-based curriculum to teacher education in Finland. Combined with a proven track record in extensive research and practice in pedagogically effective and meaningful digital learning our School is in a unique position to coordinate the established Digital Learning Center of Competence-Based Excellence. The designated four research streams are the responsibility of principal research scientists, who employ the position as part-time. They lead multidisciplinary research groups accompanied by a senior lecturer of the same expertise areas. The Centre’s activities are complemented by related domestic and international research and development projects. The Centre members are experienced professionals in their designated field of expertise.
