Hello, our innovative and creative student!

Do you have a business idea in mind? Do you want to develop your skills and win cash prizes with your idea? Apply for the Kickstart Business Idea Competition by 30th October 2024!

Here’s how the competition works:

  1. Come up with a business idea, either by yourself or with a team. The idea can still be just a concept or already in the process of being implemented.
  2. Create a video where you present your idea. You can find detailed instructions here: https://www.kickstartoulu.fi/apply-now-
Pay attention to the evaluation criteria: commercial potential, innovation, customer orientation, and sustainability. Note that this year, there is also a special prize for an innovative and feasible business idea related to health technology. This is worth pursuing, even if you’re not studying in the health field!
  3. Fill in the application form and attach the video link.
  4. The jury will review the videos and select the best ideas to compete for prizes in Oamk’s semi-finals. The top three business ideas will advance to the finals, where students from OSAO, Oamk, and the University of Oulu will compete against each other.
  5. The final will take place on 27th November from 1-5 pm at OSAO.
