Visitors

Main entrance C of our Linnanmaa campus is at Yliopistokatu 9. A good landmark is the round granite ball in front of the Pegasus library. Our campus is open from Monday to Friday from 7.30 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.

Oamk’s Linnanmaa campus is modern and operational, and it has multi-use spaces. Teknologiakylä is located near the institutes of higher education.

Getting to the campus

You can access Linnanmaa conveniently by bus or bike. Buses 1, 2, 3, 8, 22, 23, 23B, 23K and 48 all go to Linnanmaa. More information about bus schedules and biking paths:

Utilise the Oulu Campus Navigator

The Oulu Campus Navigator is a mobile app meant for indoor navigation which can be downloaded from Google Play and App Store. The app makes it possible to find your location on a map and to search for facilities and the correct route to get there.

You do not need to sign in to Oulu Campus Navigator, and it does not track the location of individual users inside the campus. Its operations are based on Bluetooth transmitters installed in the campus hallways which the mobile device uses to locate itself.

Parking

There is a limited amount of parking available on the Linnanmaa campus. If you arrive by car, please park only in the designated parking spaces. The area has some parking spaces that can be used for 2 or 4 hours with a parking disc, but most guest parking is subject to a fee. Customer parking spaces are marked with specific signs, and payment is done via eParking, Parkman or EasyPark. Short-term parking is subject to a fee during weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fee is approximately €1/hour + operator fee, however; no more than €5/day + operator fee.

Oamk’s administration

The administration is located on the third floor of the 7F wing. Guidance to administration is available from the Oamk main door and the C5 door.

Meeting rooms

Meeting room Maininki is located on the third floor of the 7B wing. Other meeting rooms are mainly on the second and third floors. There is guidance to the meeting rooms, but they are also easy to find by using the Oulu Campus Navigator.

Poiju and Jolla

Poiju and Jolla are performance spaces for music and dance. They are located on the first floor of the 7A and 7B wings. Poiju is a group instruction room for acoustic music, which is used for, among other things, to teach chamber music, other group instruction of music and small-scale concerts. Jolla is a group instruction room for amplified music. It is primarily used for band teaching, music technology teaching, making recordings and small-scale concerts. Tellus, Oamk

Oamk’s Tellus is on the first floor of the 7A wing. The purpose of Tellus is to increase collaboration in a variety of ways in an inspiring environment. Tellus has space for studying and working, whether you are alone or in a group.University Innovation Centre

The University Innovation Centre is a service complex shared by Oulu University of Applied Sciences and the University of Oulu, which helps the trade and industry utilise research in the development of innovations and products.  We offer many kinds of assistance to support scalable business operations. You can find us next to the University of Oulu’s Tellus.
