We are the pioneering School of Professional Teacher Education in Finland offering competence based education with flexible study paths for both practicing teachers and teacher candidates who want to gain the official teacher’s qualification diploma to work as a subject teacher at schools, at vocational institutions or at universities of applied sciences. The diploma we offer qualifies you to teach your specific subject at all school levels. 

Professional teacher training (60 ECTS credits) is a programme for gaining a teacher’s qualification online. The next application period to Professional Teacher Education Programme is 8–22 January 2025 in Studyinfo.

The School of Professional Teacher Education also trains specialists in competence-based qualifications. This education is in Finnish. Additionally, there are many on-going projects that aim to advance teaching, learning and knowledge.
