Implementation of Studies	The studies are implemented face-to-face, virtually or in a hybrid format using state-of-the-art and latest digital facilities. This includes independent work and group studies. Studying requires attendance both in virtual learning platforms and in contact teaching situations, especially in simulation, clinical skills laboratories and other practices requiring hands-on learning. There is an internship at all stages of the study period. Most of the practical trainings are done around Finland. You also have the possibilities to go abroad for exchange studies.

In order to be taken into consideration in supplementary application applicants must meet the general eligibility criteria for bachelor’s degrees as well as language requirements. Both, the general eligibility and the language requirement, are evaluated from the information applicant gives in the online application.

The student selection is made solely by entrance examination and the online exam is not available. The exam is organised at Linnanmaa campus of the Oulu University of Applied Sciences at Yliopistokatu 9, 90570 Oulu Finland. Guidance to the entrance exam facilities takes place at entrance C5 of Oamk (map).

All applicants who have applied through studyinfo portal are expected to take part in the entrance examination as a part of the admission process. There will not be any separate invitations sent.

The Exam starts on the 12th of August 2024 at 9 am Finnish time and the registration begins at 8 am.

Arrive on time according to the instructions given to you. Applicants will be directed to the exam room from entrance C5 in the order of the arrival. Please reserve enough time to move to the entrance examination room. Be prepared for the fact that you may have to wait outside to enter the exam. Late applicants will not be admitted to the entrance examination room.

The applicant needs a valid, acceptable identification document to be able to participate in the entrance exam. The following documents are accepted as proof of identity:

• Passport or
• Biometric EU/EEA identity card or
• Finnish official identity card issued by the police or
• Finnish driving licence

The identity is checked at the door of the exam room.

The maximum time to take the entrace exam is 3 hours and applicants should bring their own pencil and eraser.

The entrance exam of the Degree Programme in Nursing contains following sections:

• English language skills
• Logical reasoning
• Mathematical skills
• Ethical skills
• Emotional intelligence skills.

The Oulu University of Applied Sciences requires A2-level Finnish language skills from those accepted as students.

A separate language proficiency test will be organised for applicants in connection with the entrance examination on 12.8.2024 at the Linnanmaa campus. Applicants whose Finnish language skills cannot be verified on the basis of the application will take part in the separate language proficiency test.
