Productivity with artificial intelligence – Tekoälyllä tuottavuutta (TETU)

Business, Administration and LawThe TETU project is designed to support micro and small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Northern Ostrobothnia in advancing digitalization and leveraging artificial intelligence (AI). The goal is to help companies adapt to rapid changes in their operating environment and strengthen their competitiveness. Effective use of AI provides businesses with opportunities to differentiate themselves from competitors, grow their operations, and succeed in both local and global markets. Additionally, the widespread adoption of AI supports the regional economy by creating new jobs, attracting investments, and enhancing the area’s competitiveness, appeal, and tax revenues.
Project Goal
The purpose of the project is to assess and enhance companies’ readiness to utilize AI in business development. The aim is to promote the skills and capabilities needed to adopt rapidly evolving AI solutions, enabling businesses to improve productivity, strengthen competitiveness, and succeed in the AI transformation.
Key Actions of the Project
The project includes mapping the current state, readiness, challenges, and development needs related to AI utilization among companies. Based on these findings, a development program will be created. The project will organize informational sessions, workshops, and events, and establish a low-threshold experimentation and testing environment for trying out AI applications.
Additionally, the project will monitor the development of AI technologies and their applicability to business needs, while actively sharing knowledge and results for use by companies and educational institutions.
Funding and Implementation
The project is co-funded by the European Union, with funding granted by the Council of Oulu Region. It is being implemented in collaboration by BusinessOulu (lead partner), Oulu University of Applied Sciences, and Centria University of Applied Sciences.
