Campus restaurants to offer a limited selection due to strikes

Campus restaurants may have a more limited selection at the end of February due to a strike in the logistics in commerce sector. The restaurants have announced that product availability will vary, and some items may be unavailable, as they may not receive deliveries at the end of February and have had to place orders in advance.

The strike may also affect the delivery of other orders to the university.

The strikes organised by The Service Union PAM, linked to collective bargaining agreements in the commerce sector, will target retail logistics between 17–20 February and grocery stores between 19–22 February. In addition, Finnish Transport Workers’ Union AKT will impose a blockade at ports in support of collective bargaining negotiations in the industrial sector.
