Opening Ceremony of the Academic Year on September 11

The opening ceremony of Oamk’s academic year 2024-2025 is held on Wednesday, 11 September, from 12.30 to 1.30 pm. The event will take place in a joyful carnival atmosphere on Linnanmaa campus, at the square in front of Oamk’s main entrance. 

At the event, the Teacher and Student of the Year will be announced. The program also includes the awarding of the Thesis of the Year and the Publication of the Year. Additionally, the audience will get to enjoy amazing dance and music performances by our students. 

In the square, there will be fun activities from 11 am to 3 pm. There will also be food stalls where you can purchase lunch starting from 10.30 am.

• Awards for Teacher and Student of the Year 
• Speech from the Partner of the Year, Proventia 
• Video greeting from the Mayor of Oulu 
• Awards for the Thesis and Publication of the Year

We will be distributing passes for the Hurmos Day event at the opening ceremony. By collecting stamps on these passes, you can earn a badge for your overalls. Attending the opening ceremony will earn you one stamp.
