Mónica Rikić’s Psychoflage-installation was revealed
Oulu Uinversity of Applied Sciences (Oamk) received a wonderful installation called Psychoflage, which was created under the direction of Mónica Rikić, who worked as an artist-in-residence in the GRIN project.
The installation built above the staircase in the central lobby of Linnanmaa campus is called Psychoflage. It is multicolored fantasy and psychedelia installation made up of electronic air modules that inflate and deflate. The installation senses the people in the room and influences the air flow behavior.
Mónica Rikić, the artist, says that she likes the fact that the installation has been created in collaboration in different workshops and that Oamk staff have been able to influence the resulting outcome. The colors of the installation have been influenced by Finnish nature and the colours of the flag of Finland.
